istSOS (Istituto Scienze della Terra Sensor Observation Service) is an implementation of the Sensor Observation Service standard from Open Geospatial Consortium.
The developement of istSOS has started in 2009 in orther to provide a simple implementation of the SOS standard for the management, provision and integration of hydro-meteorological data collected in Canton Ticino (Switzerland).
istSOS is entirely written in Python and is based on:

2010-09-10: the FOSS4G 2010 conference was a great success, more than 800 attendants
FOSS4G 2010 is the leading annual conference for free and open source geospatial software. It will include the lunch of istSOS with a presentations. It is the event for those interested in FOSS geospatial technologies and the community around them.
